STS-I is focused on the following key services:
- Mechanical Services: STS-I provides the entire gamut of mechanical services including CAD modeling and conversions, fabrication drawings, product obsolescence studies, test fixture design, tolerance stack-up calculations, mechanical testing of materials, and failure analysis; along with other sustainability, support and analytical functions. STS-I closely collaborates with its customers for FEA/CFD support including overstress FEA, buckling analysis, fatigue, shock, and thermal analysis and PWA Modeling.
- Technical Communication Services: STS-I has the largest critical mass of technical communication experts providing support for several sustaining and product development teams across the globe. The TechCom Center of Excellence (CoE) at STS-I focuses on standardization efforts for content and visual media.
- Electrical and Electronic Services: STS-I provides engineering design services for sustaining electronics, electrical, and instrumentation engineering for its customers. STS-I is also closely involved in sustaining and designing test interfaces, developing automated functional test and test software, prototype test interfaces, PWA failure analysis, and re-design efforts

We look for highly skilled professionals in the following fields:
- Mechanical Engineers with experience in analyzing, designing, developing, maintaining and commercializing products and the ability to work with mathematical models, build prototypes, products, and systems and developing testing procedures.
- Mechanical CAD Designers skilled in mechanical drawings, knowledge of industry practices in drafting methods/standards/procedures, mechanical engineering terms and methodologies, understanding of business systems, mechanical systems design, and manufacturing technology.
- Electrical Component Designers with proficiency in electrical components and characteristics, component data management, life cycle trends of electronic components with basic knowledge of Environmental Compliance Directives, PLM software knowledge, ability to analyze components and sub-assemblies for Obsolescence, RoHS, and WEE status.
- Electrical CAD designers with knowledge of PCBA design cycle and proficiency in designing PCBA’s, MentorGraphics, AutoCAD, and Pro/E and PLM software knowledge.
- Electrical Engineers with technical knowledge of electrical/electronic circuit test analysis concepts, failure investigation and analysis of electronic components along with hands-on experience in printed circuit assembly boards testing and debugging, good programming skills in C/C++ and/or script programming, electrical circuit simulation and experience in Automation Test software products.
- Mechanical Modeling Engineers with proficiency in CAD (Pro/E preferred) and hands-on experience in computer simulations involving FEA (ANSYS), having familiarity with Fracture Mechanics and use of mechanical simulations to replace prototyping combined with an understanding of fabrication methods.
- Technical Communication with experience in XML Authoring/ Exposure to Content Management Systems, Illustration tools & visual media tools such as Adobe Illustrator and SAP VA, engineering/manufacturing/software product documentation experience.
