Prodair Air Products India Private Limited (Air Products India), a 100% subsidiary of Air Products and Chemicals Inc., USA, was established in 2009, having registered an office in Pune, Maharashtra. The company is engaged in providing technology and equipment for air separation, hydrogen generation and associated technologies for industrial gases applications.
In December 2017, Air Products India moved to a new office in Pune providing space for an anticipated ~300 employees. The establishment of this new facility is an important milestone and one of the many important steps taken to develop Pune into a world class engineering, procurement and construction organisation for Air Products worldwide.
Air Products also has a joint venture (JV) company called INOX Air Products Pvt. Ltd, formed in January 1999, jointly owned by the Jain family — former owners of the Industrial Oxygen Company — and Air Products.

Air Products interests within the India region include a combination of wholly owned businesses, and joint venture operations. The recent successful commissioning and operation of the Kochi industrial Gas facility ($400 MM investment) – which supplies gases to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)for its refinery capacity expansion and the ongoing execution of six new plants by Air Products’ joint venture ($100 MM investment), three of which are being constructed by Air Products Pune team – shows AP’s focus and commitment to the region.
