John Sage
Senior Vice President, Client Organization
John Sage, senior vice president of client organization, leads client operations, marketing and field intelligence while also overseeing the outcomes executive team, focused on maintaining high client satisfaction.
John joined Allscripts in 1999 as a client executive in the company's New England territory. Since then, he has assumed positions of increasing responsibility within the sales and client operations organizations. Prior to Allscripts, John was responsible for selling anesthesia information solutions to hospitals at Datex-Ohmeda (now GE). He began his career at Versyss, Incorporated, where he was responsible for selling practice management solutions to hospital-based clinics and physician practices.
John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Tim Quigley
Senior Vice President, Professional and Managed IT Services
Tim Quigley, senior vice president of professional and managed IT services, leads all aspects of these services, including implementations, staffing, operations and support, in order to build collaborative relationships with clients and help them achieve better clinical, financial and operational outcomes.
Tim came to Allscripts with more than 20 years of experience in IT services focused on health care, including IT consulting and outsourcing, revenue cycle management, business process outsourcing and strategic consulting. Most recently, Tim was the executive director of Dell Services Healthcare and Life Sciences. Prior to Dell, Tim held leadership positions at Perot Systems including executive vice president for global healthcare sales and general manager, provider services for the Eastern United States. He began his career in health care at Stamos Associates, a strategic advisory firm.
Early in his career, Tim worked on the staff of Senator Bill Bradley in Washington, D.C. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.
Steve Lalonde
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Ambulatory
Steve Lalonde is the senior vice president and general manager of professional physicians, overseeing solutions and services for ambulatory and independent practices that encompass vision, strategy and operations as well as commercializing services for value-based care and revenue cycle management.
Steve has served key executive leadership roles in sales, sales operations and services, including reorganizations associated with the 2008 merger with Misys and the 2010 merger with Eclipsys. Prior to joining Allscripts, Steve was senior vice president at RR Donnelley, the world’s largest printing and distribution company where he also served in leadership positions in strategic accounts (Fortune 500 clients), international business, business process outsourcing, and the catalog retail segment. Previously, Steve spent 20 years in the food industry, mainly with Quaker Oats.
Steve represents Allscripts on the board of TechAmerica and has served as a board member for the American Frozen Pizza Institute and as president of the National Frozen Pizza Association. He earned his Certified General Accountants designation majoring in finance in Canada and attended executive programs in marketing and international business at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Assaf Halevy
Senior Vice President and General Manager of Genomics and Precision Medicine
Assaf Halevy serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Genomics and Precision Medicine, leading a team devoted to developing new products, services and solutions targeting personalized medicine. Most recently, Assaf has focused on assessing market potential of genomics, precision medicine and other emerging technologies that promise to impact care delivery and patient outcomes.
Assaf joined Allscripts in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Products and Business Development when the company acquired dbMotion, now part of the population health management solution. Assaf was one of the initial investors and co-founders of dbMotion and he served in several key leadership positions, including International Operations, Strategic Accounts, Products and Innovation. He was instrumental to introducing dbMotion’s semantic interoperability capabilities to the U.S. market in 2004, where it became one of the leading health information exchange solution available, adopted by dozens of the leading provider organizations in the country.
Assaf holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in computer science from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Tel Aviv University.
Alan Fowles
President, Allscripts International
Alan Fowles is President of Allscripts International with responsibility for operations and business development. With more than 30 years’ in global health care, he has extensive experience driving growth and developing leaders for healthcare technology companies.
Prior to joining Allscripts in December 2016, Alan served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Nuance communications, leading its international healthcare business. Previously, he held increasingly responsible positions at Cerner Corporation, culminating in his role as vice president and managing director for EMEA and vice president in Europe.
Originally a clinician, Alan held a variety of senior hospital management and clinical positions within the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. He holds an Executive MBA from Ashridge Management College, affiliated with City University, London.
Melinda Whittington
Chief Financial Officer
Melinda Whittington joined Allscripts in 2016 as chief financial officer and is responsible for all financial operations, including controllership, tax, internal audit, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and investor relations.
Before coming to Allscripts, Melinda served as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for Kraft Foods Group, Inc. upon joining the company in 2014. Previously, she spent 20 years at The Procter & Gamble Company, where she served in a variety of finance leadership roles, including finance director for global home products, finance director for North America home care and global surface care brand franchise as well as finance director for corporate accounting. Melinda’s leadership positions have also included international assignments in Belgium and Costa Rica.
Early in her career, Melinda worked on the audit staff of KPMG and served as a postgraduate intern at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. She has served in several board leadership positions for nonprofit organizations, including the Inter-Parish Ministries Food Pantry and lay leader for Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, both in Cincinnati. Melinda is a summa cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University.
Lisa Khorey
Executive Vice President, Chief Client Delivery Officer
Lisa Khorey is the Executive Vice President, Chief Client Delivery Officer for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ-MDRX) that provides electronic health record technology and other health information technology to over 180,000 physicians, 2,700 hospitals and 13,000 extended care organizations. Lisa leads all aspects of delivering Allscripts solutions to its clients, including professional services, managed services, support and hosting.
Prior to joining Allscripts, Lisa was an Executive Director in Ernst & Young’s Healthcare Advisory Services Practice, specializing in analytics. Serving EY’s largest clients across the US and Australia, she led teams to deliver client business transformation projects, manage benefits realization and provide analytics as a service.
Lisa spent 20 years in a variety of technology leadership roles at UPMC, one of the largest integrated delivery and financing organizations in the US. Lisa spearheaded and led UPMC’s Enterprise Analytics Program, and was responsible for oversight of enterprise systems, including data aggregation platforms, business intelligence tools and master data management. She also spent several years as a UPMC hospital chief information officer.
Lisa has an MBA from Duquesne University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Jim Hewitt
Executive Vice President, Solutions Development
Jim Hewitt, executive vice president of solutions development, leads the company’s strategic technology vision to deliver high-quality products, innovation and client engagement.
Before joining Allscripts, Jim held dual roles as chief information officer of Springfield Clinic and chief executive officer of Jardogs, a healthcare software company he founded. Jardogs was acquired by Allscripts in 2013, and the FollowMyHealth® product is now part of the Allscripts population health management solution. Back in 2001, Jim served as chief information officer for Allscripts, where he was responsible for expanding the company’s product lines to create solutions centered on patient care.
Jim has extensive experience developing healthcare solutions and has served in leadership positions at The Options Clearing Corporation and Enterprise Systems, where he began his career as a programmer. He is an active member of the Lincoln Land Health Information Exchange (LLHIE) and participates on numerous committees, advisory boards and other groups that serve to address needs in the healthcare industry.
Rich Berner
President, International and General Manager, Acute
As president of international and general manager of acute, Rich Berner oversees all international operations as well as the acute business unit, which provides healthcare organizations with solutions for operational efficiencies, improved financial performance and better patient care.
Previously, Rich served as senior vice president at Caradigm, a Microsoft/GE joint venture where he led the client organization. He also served in a number of executive roles at Cerner Corporation, overseeing client success. Most recently, he led a number of Cerner’s agile business units and launched emerging businesses. He also led Cerner’s Middle East and Africa operations from Dubai and served as vice president and general manager for Cerner’s academic and children’s hospital clients.
Before joining Cerner, Rich was a partner at TechEmpower, a strategy consulting and custom software developer. Prior to that, he served as chief operating officer for FreeDrive, an online storage company, after beginning his career as a software engineer at Tellabs, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Internal and External Communications Inc.
Rich graduated as an Evans Scholar from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in computer science education.
Brian Farley
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
As senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Brian Farley provides leadership on the day-to-day legal affairs of the company and advises the board of directors and executive management on matters including contracts, partnerships, employment, litigation, regulatory affairs, privacy and intellectual property.
Prior to joining Allscripts, Brian served as general counsel for Google’s Motorola Mobility Home business, where he managed all legal matters and operations for the nearly $3.5 billion operation until its sale to Arris Group, Inc. He was also a member of Motorola Mobility’s president’s staff and served as his primary legal counsel. In 2012, he led the successful global regulatory and antitrust review process for the $12.5 billion sale of Motorola Mobility to Google, Inc. Before his experience with Motorola, Brian spent more than six years in various senior leadership positions and general counsel roles for three communications technology companies.
Brian earned his law degree from The George Washington University National Law Center. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in international political economics from The Colorado College.
