Today, Bajaj Hindusthan Ltd is Asia’s Number One Sugar and Ethanol manufacturing company and among the top four globally. In addition, the Group includes Bajaj Corp Ltd, Bajaj Eco-tec Products Ltd, a recently set-up, wholly-owned subsidiary for the manufacture of eco-friendly, wood-free, Medium Density Fibre (MDF) Boards and Particle Boards for the Building, Interiors and Furniture Industries, Bajaj Energy Private Ltd., Lalitpur Power Generation Company Ltd., Bajaj Power Generation Pvt Ltd. and Bajaj Infrastructure Development Co. Ltd.

Bajaj Energy Pvt. Ltd. (BEPL) has now embarked upon the expansion of its power generation capacity by 450 MW through the setting up of 5 new coal based power plants of 90 MW each whose operations has started recently. 

Apart from this, through a Consortium, the Company, in a major diversification move, has also embarked on developing two mega thermal power projects in UP, ( Lalitpur& Chitrakoot), ready for commissioning in around 5 years and producing a total of around 4000 megawatts of power. more…
