Our India Centers of Excellence (CoE)

Credit Suisse in India

Credit Suisse has four Centers of Excellence (CoEs) around the globe. In Asia, our Centers of Excellence are in Pune and Mumbai, India.

Our Centers of Excellence Initiative, which started in 2006, is Credit Suisse's global offshoring approach to leverage our talent around the world, and maximizing the efficient use of the bank's resources.

Today we have CoEs in Pune and Mumbai (India), Raleigh (USA), and Wroclaw (Poland). Together, they support our operations in more than 50 countries. The CoEs play a critical role in improving our operational effectiveness, reducing our cost base, and ensuring a high quality of products and services for our external clients.

• Since establishing operations in India in 2006, Credit Suisse has grown in size and expertise, and is one of the most innovative banks doing business here.
• Credit Suisse opened our CoE in Pune in 2006. Pune is a major college destination in India and is consistently recognized for having one of the highest concentration of professionals with advanced university/college degrees.
• Credit Suisse opened our Mumbai CoE in 2009. Mumbai is a hub for international and local banks, and is a destination for top graduates, providing quantitative, analytical, operations and finance skills. The CoE is located in the suburb of Powai in a Credit Suisse-owned, eight-story building called CityPark.
• Our India CoEs have over 2, 500 people who provide support to Credit Suisse offices around the world.
• The team is focused on the following businesses: Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Risk Management, Investment Banking and Private Banking.
