​The company was founded by Anjan Malik and PD Mundhra who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, and later reconnected in 1999 after successful careers in investment banking. Together, the company’s co-founders identified significant opportunity in the outsourcing marketplace for a “virtual” outsourced services model for large global organizations going through rapid business and technology transformation but finding continued scalability and quality challenges with their in-house teams. In 2000, they co-founded eClerx and divided their leadership with Anjan leading client engagement from London, and PD focused on developing best-in-class operations capabilities from Mumbai.Starting from humble beginnings at a small office in the Fort district of Mumbai, eClerx grew quickly during its early formative years, and is now a 6000+ person organization with five operations delivery centers based in Mumbai, Pune and Chandigarh. Client relationship offices are located in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Philadelphia, London, Dublin and Singapore. PD and Anjan are majority shareholders in eClerx and are actively involved in the strategic direction of the Company along with the executive management team.
