Our History
Over the last 125 years ExxonMobil has evolved from a regional marketer of kerosene in the U.S. to the largest publicly traded petroleum and petrochemical enterprise in the world.

Today we operate in most of the world’s countries and are best known by our familiar brand names: Exxon, Esso and Mobil. We make the products that drive modern transportation, power cities, lubricate industry and provide petrochemical building blocks that lead to thousands of consumer goods.

ExxonMobil Corporation is the largest publicly owned oil and gas exploration, development and production company in the world.

ExxonMobil in India
ExxonMobil has presence in India through our chemical, downstream and upstream businesses. Office locations include Bangalore, Gurgaon, New Delhi and Mumbai.

ExxonMobil Company India Private Limited: The chemicals business is conducted as a service provider to and marketing agent for other ExxonMobil affiliates, facilitating imports and inland sales through distributors and directly to consumers and provide business analysis since 1986. In addition, the Bangalore Technology Center delivers customer development support.

ExxonMobil Lubricants Private Limited: In the downstream sector, Fuels & Lubricants has marketed lubricants in India since 1995 under the Mobil brand. Our operations include the import of base oils, lubricant oil blending, packaging, and distribution and marketing of Mobil-branded lubricants and specialties.

ExxonMobil Gas (India) Private Limited: We also provide our upstream affiliates with consulting and support activities for such as natural gas and LNG marketing and business development and support exploration and production areas.
