GF India Programs, Initiatives, Groups

Communities & clubs: Voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with GF’s organizational mission, vision, and values. At GF, we celebrate culture, diversity and sportsmanship through various committees such as cultural, food and sports clubs etc.

GLOBALWOMEN (GW): An alliance of women and men who work together to create a sustainable framework for the professional development of women at GF. 

Cultural Committee: Runs cultural celebration and programs. 

Sports Committee: Organizes sports events and participates in inter company competitions.

Ethics & Compliance Committee: Ensures GF code of ethics is maintained. 

Corporate Initiative Activities: Executes CSR projects, identifies partners and volunteers for CSR. 

STEM Activities: Drives participation in STEM conferences, Science Fairs, and Exhibitions from School children.

Food Committee: Maintains food quality, hygiene and runs events to celebrate cuisines.

Diversity & Inclusion (D&I): D&I initiatives, resources, employee groups, and training are provided and part of our company’s culture

Employee Development Week: 7 days of global educational programming focused on employee skill growth and career development topics. Employees have the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts across the globe and engage with all learning resources the company has to offer.

GF Mentoring: A global mentoring program that utilizes an online matching program to connect employees with ideal counterparts and support the cultivation of meaningful mentoring relationships.  

LinkedIn Learning: Access to thousands of courses in skill development topics that cover anything from communication to computer programming. New courses are added weekly and employees are regularly challenged to expand their knowledge through a variety of recommended content.

Management & Leadership Development: GF offers several instructor-led courses aimed at developing competencies of the company’s people leaders and supporting all employees on their path to effective communication and team effectiveness.

External course sponsorship & Professional membership: Sponsorship for executive, technical & professional certifications/courses and enrollment with Professional Clubs/Institutions. 

Service appreciation: Employees are eligible for service appreciation remuneration based on their years of service with the company.

Global Gives: Our GF employees generously volunteer their time and donate goods and money through our GlobalGives program, supporting a wide range of charitable causes; GF corporate matching program.

GF’s largest employee resource group is GLOBALWOMEN, an alliance of women and men working in partnership with allies to drive initiatives that support the professional development of women at our company.  Each of our locations has a local chapter, offering events such as networking and mentoring, executive & guest panel discussions, professional development opportunities, external conference participation, and STEM community education programs for women.The GW Bangalore Chapter actively engages with women through network events, webinars,  training, wellness sessions and mentoring.
GW members also benefit from GF’s Corporate Partnership with SWE (Society of Women Engineers), which provides free SWE memberships to our employees, as well as unique access to industry best practices for hiring, developing and retaining top female talent. GW participates in the SWE annual national conference every year. In 2020, close to 300 women and men from GF were able to participate in the virtual conference and there were 10 women speakers from GLOBALFOUNDRIES.
