Praveen Kankariya
Founder & CEO

Impetus was founded in 1996 by Praveen Kankariya. Under his leadership, the company has grown steadily and become a leader in technology services.

Praveen co-founded Servigistics that went on to become a world leader in service supply chain planning and was subsequently acquired by PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC).

Praveen also worked in the Corporate Research Labs at 3M Corporation, where he designed and developed a distributed version of the AI-based Sage field service scheduler for 24x7 business critical operations. Praveen began his career with Scientific Computing Associates. He was one of the first employees of the company’s Linda parallel processing product group and implemented the Linda kernel on several parallel architectures.

Praveen earned his Masters degree in Computer Science from the Michigan State University and a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from S.G.S.I.T.S., India.

Praveen serves on the boards of Lift Labs and US SQUASH.

Pankaj Mittal
Sr. Vice President - Engineering

Pankaj Mittal plays an integral role in the company's strategic direction, development and its future growth. He is responsible for the organization's technical vision and leads the execution of the technology strategy. Pankaj oversees the development of intellectual properties and the technical competences creation in the emerging and best-of-breed technologies.

An Impetus veteran and a member of the core management team, Pankaj has been instrumental in enabling the company to grow to over 1300 engineers, providing direction to R&D efforts in order to build innovative software. He has played a key role in developing the organization's IP strategy and applying it to create asymmetric differentiators that add significant value to the client deliverables.

Pankaj has worked on a variety of technology initiatives in the area of product development for our clients, and participated in hundreds of product releases during his 20-year stint at Impetus. He is known within the company for his acuity and ability to map Impetus’ expertise and technologies to the dynamic needs of the marketplace.

Pankaj follows a very "hands-on" style of working, and believes in a participative work culture. He believes in giving people the space to learn and lead, and mentors his peers when required. Pankaj has always ensured that there is room for ideas, new concepts, out-of-the-box thinking and an attitude that questions status quo.

A graduate in Computer Science and Engineering, Pankaj holds an MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Indore, India.

A wellness and fitness devotee, he enjoys playing several sports, including squash. An avid reader, he prefers books on principles of management and philosophy.

Pankaj resides in Indore with his wife and two daughters.

Vineet Tyagi
Chief Technology Officer

Vineet is a strategic leader with expertise in technology forecasting, solutions, and developing strategic technology plans that lead to enhanced profitability. He has a proven track record of translating business vision into products and businesses to generate maximum ROI.

At Impetus, Vineet has been instrumental in leading a high performance team of 100+ engineers and architects. His responsibilities include managing the products and R&D portfolio and driving thought leadership for conversion of sales leads to customers and lead generation. He also contributes to the strategic direction and growth of the company as a part of the executive management.

Vineet has rich experience in managing technology and product development investments and have directly led the creation and implementation of products and new business lines in the space of Big Data and open source.

He is also a regular speaker on Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Agile in many national and international industry conferences, partner webinars, and trade media. Vineet is also a member of Northern Region Council of NASSCOM and Chair of Special Interest Group on Technology.

A Certified SCRUM Master and expert in Agile Project Management, Vineet is a computer engineering graduate from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. He did his Masters in Consultancy Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

Anand Raman
Vice President - Sales & Account Management

Anand Raman is responsible for business growth at Impetus and driving engagements in offshore product services.

Anand has played a key role in nurturing and drawing new clients to the organization. He has successfully managed client expectations and enhanced customer delight by creating an interface between the user organization and Impetus’ offshore engineering team. Additionally, he is providing presales support to the US sales team.

Anand brings to the table his acuity in mapping latent customer requirements to the technology expertise available at Impetus, to forge win-win relationships. He has contributed significantly towards the setting up of the off-shore business development team in the US and been mentoring new inductees in the US office.

Anand began his career in 1993 as a programmer, developing enterprise applications for large manufacturing organizations. He gravitated to the role of a business analyst prior to joining Impetus in 1995.

A Bachelor of Mathematics, Anand holds an MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Indore, India.

In his spare time, Anand dabbles in adventure sports and squash and enjoys being with the family. He is also fond of classical music. He lives in Cupertino with his wife and children.

Sanjeev Agrawal
Vice President - Operations & Human Empowerment

Sanjeev is responsible for leading, integrating, and leveraging the Human Empowerment, Finance, and Infrastructure Development vision at Impetus. He spearheads the formulation and implementation of financial models and HR strategies for organizational development, talent management, and transformational culture. His role involves ensuring the best practices and industry benchmarks at work to drive business enabling operations. He is also instrumental in driving Employee Value Proposition to derive sustained competitive advantage for growth.

Sanjeev joined Impetus in 1993 and ever since has successfully managed key functional roles with ease. With a strong focus on operational efficiencies, governance, and user experience, he has led the organization through different development phases. He has also established a strong liaison with external entities, including various government departments and ministries.

Sanjeev is regarded as a strategic advisor on matters related to legal compliance, financial planning and budgeting, corporate structuring, and human empowerment. He has been at the helm of several key strategic transitions and has been instrumental in setting up the development centers across Indore, NOIDA, and Bengaluru.

Being an ardent practitioner of “Developmental Leadership” approach, Sanjeev sets the roadmap for the process excellence and performance driven culture at Impetus.

Sanjeev holds a B.E. in Computer Engineering and an MBA in Marketing.

Rajeeva Gupta
Vice President - Engineering

Rajeeva Gupta is responsible for managing high-quality product deliveries within all Outsourced Product Engineering engagements. His role is to enhance customer value by consistently improving on deliveries.

At Impetus, Rajeeva works actively with clients across all phases of the product development lifecycle, providing critical inputs right from conceptualization, to implementation. He has made significant contributions towards many successful product deployments, roll out and support for clients across all verticals.

Rajeeva began his career in 1986, as Executive Director–R&D with Quark Media House, India. His 20 years of working experience has enabled Rajeeva to manage diverse projects in business applications development. He is known in particular for his expertise in handling project execution based on a globally distributed and onsite-offshore model.

He holds a B.E. (Hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and an MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.

His hobbies include reading science fiction and watching cricket. He resides in New Delhi with his wife and two children.

Larry Pearson
Vice President - Marketing

Larry joined Impetus Technologies in 2004 after four years as an Impetus customer. Having a keen appreciation for the customer’s viewpoint, he spent his early years with Impetus as Area Vice President for the Eastern U.S. In that role, he was responsible for assisting Impetus prospects and customers in eastern North America and Western Europe regarding emerging technology strategies and product development programs. During that time, he built some of our largest and most enduring customer relationships.

As Vice President of Marketing, Larry is responsible for messaging strategy and execution, marketing communications (including the Impetus website and all product collateral), public relations, all events (i.e. trade shows and webinars), inside sales and lead generation.

Larry brings over 30 years of management experience working with software product companies in Business Development, Marketing, Product Management and Systems Engineering. His experience ranges from 20 years with global Fortune 50 companies like IBM—including 7 years in key management positions—to leadership positions with mid-sized software product companies, and start-ups. He has a degree in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas.

Larry, his wife and their 2 sons live in Atlanta, Georgia. In his spare time, he is an avid follower of Major League Baseball (Atlanta Braves) and college football. He enjoys reading books on marketing, leadership and spirituality. He stays active with yoga, swimming, hiking and, when time affords, playing a little golf. He is the author of a short story that was published in the New York Times best seller, “Chicken Soup for the Golfer’s Soul.” In 2008, this story was selected as one of Chicken Soup’s top 100 best sports stories of all time and republished in “Tales of Golf and Sports.”
