Corporate Citizenship
Informatica may be about All Things Data, but we’re also all about people — our employees, customers, partners, and those who need help in the neighborhoods we live in as well as the global community. Informatica Involved, our corporate social responsibility program, shows our commitment to improve people’s lives as our employees generously give their time, talent, and treasure to those in need.
Historically, Informatica Involved has supported many worthwhile causes: Global hunger-relief drives, youth and education programs, and health-related campaigns. And when natural disasters strike, Informatica Involved matched employee donations to provide relief for catastrophic damage to property and life (for example, the Philippines’ Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, the Nepalese earthquake in 2015).
In 2015, our employees showed their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities in various ways. During the holidays, Informatica employees donated time, money, and canned goods to their local food banks, assisted children’s charities, held bake-offs, and cooked meals at homeless shelters.
On June 10, 2015, one hundred children arrived at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bangalore for the Spreading Smiles event put on by the Smile Foundation. After each child was paired off with an Informatica employee, the large group watched a show on the solar system. Later, the kids enthusiastically explained what they learned about the solar system to their partners. Each child was thrilled to see and learn more.
