Our commitment as a Group to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not merely about charity and the likes, but playing a more responsible part in the society, be it within the organization, towards our stakeholders, environment or society.
To this end, the Landmark Group runs the ‘Beat Diabetes’ awareness campaign throughout the year to create awareness and educate people about the condition. The initiative was launched in 2009 in UAE and currently extends across Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and India.

Take the Test
Random blood sugar testing kiosks are setup at selected Landmark Group Outlets during the month of November. Customers visiting the testing kiosks can avail the free blood glucose testing facility. Tests are conducted by qualified paramedics. Awareness Brochure related to Diabetes and Lifestyle Management are distributed to customers at the Kiosk.
In a bid to create effective awareness amongst young adults about prevention and maintenance of Diabetes, the initiative focuses on the age group 18-30 Years. Blood Glucose Testing camps are held in Degree / post graduate Colleges for both Students and Staff. Subsequent diagnostics are conducted for those diagnosed with diabetic condition.
The program focuses on Vision care for individuals from marginalized communities across urban and rural areas. Intervention is through a cluster approach wherein a group of communities are selected in phased manner. General Eye Tests are conducted for community members.
The program objective is to facilitate Women Slum Dwellers to be the Community Health Champions. This is implemented through cluster approach and Random Blood Sugar Tests are administered for all adults residing in the slum. Training Sessions are held for diagnosed women for inculcating good lifestyle management practices in their routine. Capacity building activities are be held to ensure management of diabetes / lifestyle among community members and for their own family members.
