Manipal Press, started in 1941, was the 1st private sector RBI certified MICR cheques producer and is the largest Security Printer of the Indian private sector today. The company specializes in Bank instruments, cheques, drafts, pre-paid plastic & paper telephone cards etc. With output of over 100 million cheques per month & 100 million pre-paid telecom cards per month, dominant security products supplier to the banking & telecom sectors. As an extension of the Security products business, MTL has started the manufacture of Banking Cards and Smart cards through its subsidiary MCT Cards & Technology (MCT) in technical collaboration with world’s leading Smart card manufacturer. The facility is over 85,000 sq. ft. high security facility for manufacture of smart cards & banking cards built on the highest security specifications & guidelines of Rupay, Visa & MasterCard as well.

MCT Cards & Technology Private Limited is the one of the largest banking card manufacturers and personalization service providers in India. We have been certified by Rupay, Master Card & Visa for manufacturing and personalization of their card products for both mag stripe and also EMV chip cards. We have been providing banking card products and personalization services to more than 50 banks in the country including the largest public sector bank as well as private sector bank. We are privileged to cater more than 65% banking cards requirements in India. We also cater to Banks in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Middle East, Indonesia and Europe. Apart from these we are also supplying smart cards to RSBY, Financial inclusion & Government departments.

MCT is the only company which has a Disaster Recovery Site (DRS) both for card manufacturing & personalization, Rupay, VISA and MasterCard certified Magnetic stripe and EMV personalisation site one in Manipal and other in New Mumbai.

Fragrance business : The US based MVP Group International Inc. and Mangalore based Primacy Industries Limited produces and supplies scented candles, aerosols and other home fragrances products to leading retail chains in the US including Wal-Mart. MVP Group International Inc. is the world’s largest producer of Private Label scented candles.

In addition, the Manipal facility has been certified by ISO 27001:2005 for Information Security and ISO 9001:2011 for card manufacturing and personalisation and also SCOSTA Certified by NIC, Govt of India.
