As Markit’s chief executive officer, Lance is responsible for leading the company’s strategic development and managing its day-to-day operations. Lance founded Markit in 2003 after spotting an opportunity to bring transparency to the credit default swap market; the company launched the first daily CDS pricing service that year. Lance has overseen Markit’s growth from a start-up to a global company with over 3,000 employees in more than 20 offices worldwide, serving over 3,000 customers. Lance graduated from the Simon Fraser University in Canada with a BBA and holds an MSc from the London School of Economics.

Shane Akeroyd is a managing director, responsible for Markit’s global sales division, having joined Markit in 2008. Shane is responsible for Markit’s sales strategy and implementation across all products and geographies and manages a team of more than 200 people. Shane holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College London.
Global head of sales
Adam Kansler is chief administrative officer at Markit. In this role, he has oversight of the company’s alliances with other market data vendors, corporate communications, corporate development, legal, human resources, regulatory and government affairs, and risk functions. In 2013, he was appointed head of Markit’s North America operations. Adam graduated magna cum laude from Hobart College and received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1993.

Kevin Gould is president of Markit and a co-founder of the company. He was appointed head of Markit’s Asia Pacific operations in July 2013, a role that spans Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia. Previously, Kevin led Markit’s business in North America, which he established in 2005 and now serve more than 400 customers. Kevin holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University.
Chip Carver is a managing director and cohead of Information at Markit. The Information division provides indices, pricing data, reference data and analytical tools for a wide range of asset classes and markets. He joined Markit in 2008 and was previously chief operating officer, managing the firm’s global technology development and infrastructure activities. Chip holds an MBA from New York University and a BA from Hobart William Smith Colleges.
Cohead of Information
Brad Levy is managing director, chief executive officer of MarkitSERV, the most widely used trade processing service for OTC derivatives and global head of Markit Clear, the most comprehensive trade settlement service in the loans market today. He joined Markit in 2012 initially working in Boulder, Colorado, to oversee several distribution products including Markit Hub, Research Manager and Desktop. He is now based in New York. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany.

Rony Grushka is head of corporate strategy at Markit and oversees acquisitions, investments and group structure. He was appointed to this role in 2011. He is a co-founder of Markit. A chartered accountant, Rony has over 15 years experience of setting up and managing businesses in different sectors. He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, University of London and a BA in Economics and Accountancy from Tel-Aviv University.

Michele Trogni is a managing director and head of enterprise services within the Solutions division. The Solutions business delivers versatile and scalable software platforms and services that help firms improve operational efficiency, improve quality and offer a lower cost of ownership. Michele has responsibility for all service-based solutions including Markit’s on Demand, Corporate Actions, Counterparty Manager and WSO Services as well as Markit’s know your customer initiatives. Michele holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting from Northumbria University and is a qualified accountant (ACCA).

Armins Rusis is a managing director and cohead of Information at Markit. The Information division provides indices, pricing data, reference data and analytical tools for a wide range of asset classes and markets. He joined Markit in 2008 as cohead of the firm’s data and analytics products. Armins holds a BA in Economics and Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a MS from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jeff Gooch was appointed chief financial officer of Markit in September 2013. Jeff joined Markit in 2007 to lead the company’s portfolio valuations and trade processing business. In 2009 he was appointed ceo of the newly launched MarkitSERV, now the most widely used trade processing service for OTC derivatives, and served in that role until September 2013. He remains chairman of MarkitSERV. A chartered accountant (ICAEW), he holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University.
