Rick Stollmeyer
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Rick co-founded Mindbody in his garage in 2001. He serves as the company’s CEO and principle visionary, ensuring that everything Mindbody undertakes – from product line to business development to team member enrichment – serves the company’s purpose to help people lead healthier, happier lives by connecting the world to wellness.
In 2005, Rick transformed the industry when he migrated the company’s business management software to the cloud. Today, Mindbody remains the leading software-as-a-service platform for the wellness services industry, streamlining business management for wellness practitioners and making it easier for them to do what they love – improve the lives of their customers. Mindbody now powers fitness, wellness, and beauty businesses worldwide.
Rick lives with his wife, Jill, near the company headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California.
Josh McCarter
President
Josh McCarter joined the Mindbody team in 2018 following the company’s acquisition of Booker in 2018. As a co-founder of Booker, Josh served as the company’s CEO since its inception. He’s currently focused on helping Mindbody scale its platform through industry leadership, strategic partnerships, payment strategies and corporate development.
Prior to Booker, Josh was president and COO of Arbitech, a leading independent distributor of computer hardware that achieved $1B of sales under his leadership. Arbitech was recognized as Entrepreneur magazine’s fastest-growing company in the U.S. in 2003. Josh previously served as COO of SpaFinder, managing the company’s technology, operations, and strategic initiatives. Before joining SpaFinder, he served as vice president of international development and vice president of business development for the online automotive marketing leader, Autobytel.com.
Outside of the office, Josh is an avid adventurer, having visited over 40 countries, backpacked through Central America, and traversed the US on his Harley. As a result of Josh’s youngest daughter’s diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes at age 4, his family has been dedicated to finding a cure by supporting a variety of Type 1 causes, most recently Beyond Type 1.
Brett White
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Brett has been the company’s chief financial officer since 2013 and added chief operating officer to his responsibilities in 2016. With more than 25 years of senior financial and operations expertise, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience in high-growth technology companies.
Prior to Mindbody, Brett spent nearly six years as CFO at Meru Networks, leading them through their evolution from privately-held to NASDAQ-listed company. He also held CFO roles at Fortinet, Corio, and KANA Software. His background includes 10 years at Oracle, where he served as vice president of finance over a $3 billion business unit, as well as in various international finance roles.
Brett chose Mindbody for its culture, people, and business model. He spends time outside of work with his wife and three boys, soaking up the Central Coast’s trails, beaches, and views.
Sunil Rajasekar
Chief Technology Officer
Sunil has served as Mindbody’s chief technology officer since November 2018. With more than 20 years of consumer and enterprise experience, his work is focused on the company’s product and technology strategy, consumer marketplace expansion and platform development.
Previously, Sunil served as vice president and general manager at e-commerce giant eBay, leading engineering and product management for the seller experience. He has also served as chief technology officer for Lithium Technologies and as vice president of engineering, product management and operations at Intuit. He holds an MBA from the University of Toledo.
Josh Todd
Chief Marketing Officer
Josh focuses on global marketing, branding, and advertising strategy for Mindbody. With in-depth consumer marketing expertise and a data-driven approach, he has a proven record of successful customer-acquisition initiatives and long-term brand building.
Josh brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to his position. Most recently, he served as chief marketing officer for Localytics, a pioneer in the mobile engagement space, helping companies like ESPN, HBO, Comcast, and RunKeeper create deeper relationships with customers through their web and mobile apps. Prior to that, he spent eight years in various leadership roles at Constant Contact, where he led an aggressive customer-acquisition strategy that propelled the company from 50,000 customers to more than 600,000.
Outside of work, Josh spends time with his wife and two kids, hiking, camping, and enjoying the ocean.
Michelle Berlin
SVP, People & Culture
Michelle leads our international People & Culture Team, focused on people strategies and organization effectiveness in support of Mindbody’s vision. After joining Mindbody in 2016, she developed the consultative P&C Business Partner and Program Management Teams. The People & Culture Team she directs is responsible for finding the best talent for Mindbody and engaging, developing, and inspiring team members to live our core values in all aspects of their roles.
Michelle’s passion for creating environments for people to thrive and grow began during her careers at Patagonia and Amgen. There, her roles in human resources fostered a belief in the power of company culture and need to develop strong alignment as a partner with the business. More recently, as the senior director of human resources at REC Solar, Michelle developed relationships across the organization that supported its expansion and was instrumental in the company’s successful acquisition by Sunrun.
Outside of work, Michelle volunteers with Destination Imagination to provide opportunities for kids to collaborate, work as a team, and use their creativity to solve problems. As a Cal Poly graduate, her roots run deep on the Central Coast of California, but she and her family still find time for annual travel trips around the world.
Marti Menacho
Senior Vice President of Information Technology
Marti manages Mindbody’s product platform and information technology. She has over 30 years of executive experience in the technology industry, working with companies ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 100 corporations.
Prior to Mindbody, she served as vice president in Oracle’s Cloud Services organization. She’s also held the role of chief information officer at Brocade Communications, TIBCO, and Clarify. As a member of Professional Business Women of California and Women in Technology International, Marti is a frequent speaker and published author on IT infrastructure and application management.
Marti and her husband founded Olivas de Oro Olive Company in Paso Robles, California in 1999. She’s the president of the Creston Wine Trail and a former board member and treasurer for the Central Coast Olive Growers Association.
Kevin Teague
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
We’re not sure if there’s a position that Kevin hasn’t held at Mindbody. He joined the company in 2007 as a tech support specialist. Next, he wrote the first iteration of the User’s Guide and project managed the company’s initial PCI compliance. Following this, he founded the Quality Assurance Team at Mindbody, before transitioning once again to lead our Product Development Team. Kevin then shifted his responsibilities overseas, serving as senior vice president and managing director of Europe, overseeing marketing, sales, and customer service teams in the Mindbody UK offices.
In his current role as senior vice president of strategic accounts, Kevin oversees the alignment of sales, customer services and support, and product development to support Mindbody’s strategic accounts. His team is focused on building long-term relationships with our largest customers. In all of his roles at Mindbody, Kevin has been guided by the principal that investing in the best people and customers opens doors we don’t even know exist yet.
In 2004, prior to his tenure at Mindbody, Kevin lived in Edinburgh, Scotland to complete a novel and wrote freelance for the International Directory of Company Histories, and later the Encyclopedia of Major Marketing Strategies.
