About Us

We are Razorpay – A new age digital banking platform powering the financial ecosystem for businesses.

You can think of us as an infrastructure provider, a concierge and an end to end CRM (customer relationship management) platform which manages the 360 degree financial needs of our customers. We manage the flow of money for businesses, automate single & multi-party disbursals, ensure seamless credit availability & enable Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered fraud detection.

We began our journey in 2014, founded by two IIT Roorkee graduates – Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur on a mission to make a difference to the financial landscape in the country. They were joined by a group of passionate, like-minded individuals most of whom are still associated with us.

The second India focused Y-Combinator startup; We score 9/12 on the Joel test and support the Programmer’s bill of rights.

In just a year we have gone from nothing to a full fledged, modern and robust online payments system. Our customers swear by our tech and UX, and we are ecstatic to see people enjoy the results of our fanatic focus on making online payments simple and accessible.

Helping businesses prevent losses and improve their operational efficiency by enabling accurate and early detection of fraud.

We build products & solutions for the Indian economy’s nerve centre – The small & medium enterprise (SME) community. At the same time, we also cater to large enterprises and traditional sectors like broking, mutual funds, insurance, education and so on.

We provide clean, developer-friendly APIs with hassle-free integration for over 400,000 customers including startup unicorns like OYO, Zomato, Swiggy, large enterprises like Airtel and the state-run IRCTC. We process transactions to the tune of billions of dollars annually, with an all round excellent team drawn from all quarters of India.
