RR Donnelley’s Asia CSR wing ‘REACH’ is an active employee driven avenue to cater to the community conscious in you.

Throughout our 150-year heritage, we have demonstrated a deep and abiding commitment to being responsible corporate citizens. REACH, RR Donnelley – Global Outsourcing’s Corporate Social Responsibility wing, is committed to this legacy backed by a strong and employee-driven CSR Committee. Launched in 2009, REACH was envisioned as a means to give back to the society.

The constant thought that drives us to take simple efforts in the area of social responsibility is the indomitable principle at RRD that a business, in all its strength, complexity and diversity is only further strengthened in its resolve to give back to the community that we work and live in. Our successes arise from the individual actions of employees who make a difference by considering the environment and by helping their fellow employees and the people in their communities. We take these actions not because they are in our job descriptions, but simply because we care, want to create positive results in the world and have the avenues to do so.

REACH has spearheaded various initiatives in helping this agenda, like the many donation drives we have rallied to provide stationary and books to government schools and other underprivileged institutions. Our volunteers have conducted language and soft skills training for underprivileged children and gifted stationery kits and books, to inspire children from the fringes of society to continue on their path of education. We undertake major projects to promote education, like the Corporate Internship Program which brings in people from underprivileged backgrounds, including children of our own housekeeping staff, to do a comprehensive 10-day internship at our office. Here they are trained, to give them a competitive edge in their professional careers.

Protecting our environment is a responsibility we have towards our planet. REACH has helped create awareness about many environmental issues through specialized campaigns and activities. For eg:- bamboo samplings were distributed amongst employees to be placed at their desks. From conducting emission control camps to channelizing e-waste through donations to underprivileged institutions, we constantly endeavor towards a greener tomorrow.

As a people-centric organization, our employees become the most integral component of our functioning, and thus their health is equally important. We regularly run health and fitness initiatives like health camps, BMI checks, fitness challenges etc. to encourage employees into adopting a healthier lifestyle.
