We are a company that believes in the power of diversity and inclusion. From the Women’s Own Network to Project Udaya – an initiative designed to provide employment opportunities to the orthopedically challenged.

RR Donnelley prides itself on the importance given to diversity and inclusion at the workplace. This is evident from the 30-plus inclusion councils promoting inclusion within our global sites and in the communities that we operate in. We believe that Inclusion is Diversity in Action and this simple credo has become part of our DNA. Whether it is the Women’s Own Network or Udaya, a program designed to improve the employability of the orthopedically challenged, our programs are owned and run by our employees. Since its inception in 2008, Global Outsourcing’s award-winning gender diversity initiative Women’s Own Network (WoN) has made giant strides in forwarding a cause that is close to our hearts – empowering women employees with the ‘will to lead’. We are striving towards building an environment where the women amongst us rise to the occasion and define achievement on their own terms. WoN aims to create impact for women employees in areas like Professional Development (Management Development Programs, Mentoring for Managers, Guest Speakers Sessions), Personal Development (Interactive Sessions, Workshops and networking opportunities), and Support Initiatives.

Project Udaya, launched in 2010, is designed to provide equal employment opportunities to the differently abled, especially for the orthopedically challenged and the hard-of-hearing community. Candidates are screened and selected for the program from a consortium of NGOs who partner with us. Participants typically undergo four months of rigorous training in skills relevant for today’s business environment, during which time their performance is tracked through a systematic monitoring and feedback process. The program includes modules on experiential learning that requires candidates to attend internship in an operations environment. Individual mentors from various operations teams are assigned to guide and encourage the participants throughout the process. Udaya graduates have been placed in RR Donnelley as well as other companies.
