Schlumberger’s ambition for D&A is to become a recognized leader in deploying data and analytics for differentiation and impact in oilfield services, within a period of 36 months. Schlumberger is the market leader in data acquisition across the oil and gas industry. The SLB group now has an ambition to replicate that leadership in oilfield services- based Data analytics and Data readiness.

To materialize this ambition in the long run, SITC Pune is the key to the foundation of this capability. It will build competencies around analytics development, deployment and collaboration environment, Machine Learning, SAS, Open Source, R/SAS/Python, Hadoop, In-memory, MPP, etc. In the data universe, focus would be on Data Lake, EDW, Cloudera, Metadata Management, Master Data, Pivotal, Horton works, SAS, TIBCO, Oracle, Business and Asset Operations.

 SLB’s Data Analytics has two core centers around the world- Houston and Pune. The team in Pune will engage as an integrated extension of its American counterpart and play a key role in the journey to enable SLB’s transformation.

The initial focus would be delivery of solutions across business and operational problems in the areas of asset utilization, asset management and optimum people utilization.
