Schlumberger aims to leverage mobility solutions to make a paradigm shift in the manner in which its workforce will service the customer, transact and execute. More than 70% of Schlumberger’s business is conducted in remote Oilfield locations in the 85 countries it operates in. More than 200 applications currently support its Operations, Manufacturing and Shared Services arms of the company. As its strategic objectives, Mobility Solutions aims to significantly improve operational efficiency, improve safety and accelerate time to market across this complex suite of applications which cover CRM, Supply Chain, Finance, asset tracking and maintenance, people management and resourcing.

Mobility Solutions teams are being built out in Houston and Pune to operationalize this strategy. SITC, Pune will have a Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE). It will design, develop, implement and maintain new and improved mobile applications, procedures and techniques to run on mobility platforms such as iOS, Android and web apps. It will provide innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions. It will ensure integration, device flexibility and security across mobile users. It will evaluate emerging mobile technologies and ensure that the company stays updated on mobile software and hardware industry trends.
