Pradeep Vajram
President & CEO

Pradeep brings to SmartPlay over 20 years of Semiconductor industry experience having executed, at all levels of responsibilities in design and development of ASIC products. Prior to SmartPlay, Pradeep was the VP of Engineering at Qualcomm, heading the India semiconductor division (Bangalore). Under his leadership, Qualcomm Bangalore Design Center developed as a strong center of excellence and delivered multiple products successfully. Pradeep Vajram, a key member of Spike Acquisition team helped to setup the Bangalore Design Centre (India) for Qualcomm.

Sanjay Palsamudram
COO

Sanjay has over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry focused on processor and wireless product development. He has extensive experience in setting up new operations and managing engineering teams worldwide. During his tenure at Sun Microsystems spanning over a decade, Sanjay was responsible for delivery of multiple generations of SPARC microprocessors starting with UltraSPARC-II to advanced multi-core SPARC. He was instrumental in setting up Sun’s “India Engineering Center”. He led and implemented COT model for alternate sourcing of UltraSparc microprocessors.

Santosh Xavier
Senior Vice President - Embedded Software Division

Santosh has over 20+ years of experience in the Wireless & Connected Devices (Smart Phone & Automotive) industry focused on Business Operations & Delivery. During his tenure with Teleca, he was instrumental in setting up the India center and growing it for a zero base to about 450+ people strong team. Prior to that he was VP & BU Head – Terminal (Handset) Devices Business Unit at Sasken.

Vijay Mohan
Vice President, International Business Operations

Vijay Mohan has over 20 years of experience and has held management positions in sales, business development, marketing, international business operations, talent acquisition and immigration functions.

Vijay co–founded TechForce, Inc. in 2004 and played a key role in establishing new customer relationships and setting up its India Design Centre operations. Prior to TechForce, Vijay was actively involved in the business development & marketing activities at Spike Technologies, Inc. – a leader in chip design services (acquired by Qualcomm). He was involved in account management for Fortune 500 client companies. He played a key role in formulating & implementation of marketing & media strategies at Spike.

Vijay Mohan holds a Bachelors degree in Economics & an MBA (International Marketing) from FSM – New Delhi.

Vinod Kaushik
Vice President, Strategy & Business Development

Vinod has over 16 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Operations Excellence, Customer Relationship Management and Business Processes in the telecommunications, media and entertainment industries consulting to Fortune 500 companies across North America, Europe and India.

Prior to SmartPlay, Vinod was the consulting practice leader, India and South-East Asia, at Nortel Networks where he set up and ran the consulting practice out of Bangalore. Vinod in his earlier career was a Managing consultant and a Principal Consultant with Deloitte Consulting and PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC, premier management consulting firms, as well as IBM’s Business Consulting Services.

Rahul Arya
Vice President - Sales

Rahul Arya has more than 20 years of work experience and has held management positions in Sales, Marketing and Application functions. Rahul has a successful track record of building efficient teams and selling engineering software & services in areas of VLSI, Mechanical and Civil Design. Prior to joining SmartPlay, Rahul spent 12 years at Cadence Design System, and was heading their Bangalore site. He played a pivotal role in growing Cadence’s global accounts and contributed towards worldwide strategic initiatives. Rahul is an active member of India ecosystem and has been part of India Semiconductor Association’s (ISA) and VLSI Society of India (VSI) Core Initiative Groups.

Rahul is an Electronics Engineer, MBA in Marketing and has specialization in International Business from IIM Calcutta.

Krupakaran A
Vice President - Operations

Krupakaran has over 30+ years of professional experience spanning Technology, Management, Administration and Operations. The last 12 years of his career has been in the Semiconductor Technology area.

Prior to SmartPlay, Krupakaran was the Director Engineering at Qualcomm India. He was the VP of Engineering at Spike Technologies (acquired by Qualcomm in 2004). He held key positions in Engineering Management and Business Operations Management at both these companies. Prior to venturing into the Corporate world, Krupakaran served as the Wing Commander in Indian Air Force.

Ashutosh Mauskar
Senior Vice President and General Manager – North America

Ashutosh joins SmartPlay with 19+ years of technology and management experience. During his career he has held engineering, marketing/business development and executive-level roles at leading EDA companies – Synopsys, Cadence and Magma. He brings strong digital, analog and low power design expertise to SmartPlay. He holds five patents for his work in the area of low power design. He has extensive experience in rolling out EDA technologies and related services.
Prior to SmartPlay, Ashutosh was Vice President at Magma and held global responsibility for introducing analog/mixed signal platform.
He holds a B.E. in electronics engineering from University of Bombay and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Arkansas.
