Mark Hale
Chief Executive Officer
Mark Hale is Chief Executive Officer of Visible Alpha. He joined the company in 2018 as COO and has a strong track record in financial services and information technology, as well as in the FinTech community.
Prior to joining Visible Alpha, Mark spent 22 years at FactSet, serving in diverse leadership roles in content operations, software engineering, quality assurance and executive management.
Mark holds a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Scott Rosen
Founder, Chief Research & Innovation Officer
Scott Rosen is Visible Alpha’s Founder and Chief Research & Innovation officer, responsible for driving the company’s vision and transformational services. Scott has been a leader at the intersection of investment research and technology for more than 30 years.
After starting his career as a sell-side analyst and Director of Research, Scott founded Trapeze, one of the first electronic research distribution platforms, in the early 1990’s. Scott went on to be Director of Research for I/B/E/S, a senior executive at Thomson Financial, where he ran the First Call research business among other roles, and entrepreneur-in-residence for TheMarkets.com.
He holds a B.A. Honors degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.
Rodney Pedersen
Chief Revenue Officer
Rodney Pedersen is Chief Revenue Officer of Visible Alpha and oversees sales, client services and marketing globally.
Rodney joins Visible Alpha from FactSet where he was most recently SVP and Senior Director of Data Strategy. Rodney spent the majority of his career at FactSet in various sales roles, including founding and managing the company’s Americas Hedge Fund team.
Rodney has a B.S. in Economics from Auburn University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Scott Puma
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Puma is Chief Financial Officer of Visible Alpha and oversees all financial, legal and office operations of the company.
Scott brings over 20 years of experience in managing financial operations for start-up companies. Previously, he was CFO at Compliance Science, Inc. and VP of Finance at Axial. He also served in senior financial and operational leadership positions at TheMarkets.com, Vigilante, Mail.com and Geotek Communications. Early in his career, Scott spent five years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
He has a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University and holds a CPA license.
Padma Priya Saraswatula
EVP & General Manager of India
Padma Priya Saraswatula is EVP & General Manager of India at Visible Alpha, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in Noida and Mumbai.
Priya brings 20+ years of experience with a track record of delivering solutions to complex business problems by developing platforms, collaborating closely with global stakeholders and managing large teams. Most recently, Priya was the COO at AXA Business Services where she was responsible for Global Automation Centre-of-Excellence, IT, Project Management Office and Facilities & Administration.
In addition to AXA, she held leadership roles at Societe Generale, Nomura, Lehman Brothers, Polaris Software Solutions and Hexaware Technologies.
Priya has a Masters in Computer Applications from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Priya is also a certified Executive Coach.
Nitin Gupta
Chief Technology Officer
Nitin Gupta is Chief Technology Officer at Visible Alpha, managing global product engineering and SaaS delivery infrastructure, while guiding innovation in data science, data scaling and analytics.
Nitin brings over 20 years of technical experience spanning databases, CRM, ERP, web, text analytics, machine learning, messaging and collaboration. Previously, Nitin was co-founder and CTO of Gridstone Research, the technology platform underlying Visible Alpha services. Prior to Gridstone, he was a group product manager for Infosys, responsible for designing, developing, deploying and managing critical IT systems.
Nitin studied Computer Science at St. Stephen’s College and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
Gregg Krowitz
Chief of Staff
Gregg Krowitz is Chief of Staff, overseeing partnerships and global support and solutions.
Gregg brings over 20 years of experience in financial services. Previously, Gregg was Chief of Staff at LRN Corporation, a SaaS company in the ethics and compliance space. Prior to that he was Head of Strategy & Analytics and a member of the NYSE Listings management team. He began his career at Bankers Trust Company in a variety of roles in the Trust and Agency Services Group.
Gregg holds a B.A. from the University at Albany and an MBA from Fordham University.
Kirsten Behncke Colyer
Chief Human Resources Officer
Kirsten Behncke Colyer is Chief Human Resources Officer of Visible Alpha and oversees all culture and human resources operations.
Kirsten brings over 20 years of experience managing global human resources functions for start-up and later-stage technology companies. Previously she was, among other roles, VP, People & Talent at Justworks and EVP, CHRO at Reval.com. Earlier in her career she managed human resources for APAX Partners in the U.S. and was Director, Organizational Development for AIG’s Life Insurance Division. Kirsten started her career in human resources at BMG Music.
A German citizen and a U.S. resident, Kirsten holds a Master’s degree from New York University in I/O Psychology and the equivalent to a U.S. Master’s in Psychology from the University of Cologne, Germany
Philip Harrison
SVP, Director of Research
Philip Harrison is Director of Research at Visible Alpha, overseeing the firm’s research and data policies, while also helping guide the buy-side and sell-side user experience for the Visible Alpha Insights product.
Previously, Philip was co-founder of Lusight Research, an independent research and technology firm focused on emerging markets, overseeing the firm’s technology and research initiatives in accounting, forecasting and valuation methodologies. He was also a senior equity and credit analyst at ING Barings, Duff & Phelps and UBS Warburg.
Philip holds a B.S. in Economics from University of California, Riverside.
Ravi Shenoy
SVP, Operations
Ravi Shenoy is Vice President of Data Operations, overseeing all data operations.
Prior to joining Visible Alpha, Ravi worked as an Equity Research Analyst and Equity Strategist for 20 years. He has worked in the financial sector for Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Gridstone Research, Birla Sun Life Insurance, HDFC Bank and Pranav Securities. Before his entry into the world of investing, he was fine-tuning manufacturing processes and designing toolings at Mahindra & Mahindra.
Ravi has a B.E. in Production Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management Studies (in Finance) from Mumbai University. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2006.
Amar Vira
SVP, Engineering
Amar Vira is Vice President of Engineering, driving the development of and innovation in Visible Alpha’s data structuring pipeline, ontology design and application of AI techniques.
Amar brings over 17 years of experience in designing and building financial content extraction and enrichment solutions. Previously, he was working as Product Head with Dion Global and Gridstone Research. Early in his career, Amar spent five years in Infosys as a programmer analyst.
Amar attended RamRao Adik Institute of Technologies and has been a CFA Charterholder since 2011.
